A representative result from a real patient. Botox is a medical procedure; outcomes vary and are discussed in a personal consultation.

Botox is one of the most discussed aesthetic treatments in Pakistan, and also one of the most misunderstood. Patients come to my clinic with questions about price, brands, safety, what it actually does, and whether it is right for them. The answers depend significantly on the specifics of your case, but I can give you transparent pricing and honest information here.

I am Dr Taskeen Iqbal, PMDC registered and Irish Medical Council registered. I administer botox treatments personally at my clinic serving Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

01 What botox actually does

Botox is the brand name for botulinum toxin type A, a purified protein that temporarily relaxes specific muscles when injected in tiny amounts. Applied to facial muscles, it softens the appearance of wrinkles caused by repeated movement, such as frown lines, crow's feet and forehead lines.

It does not freeze your face. Done properly, you should still be able to express emotion naturally. The treatment makes you look more rested and refreshed, not artificial or unable to move.

Beyond cosmetic use, botox also has medical applications, including treatment for chronic migraines, excessive sweating, jaw clenching and certain muscle disorders.

02 Botox price in Pakistan by treatment area

Here is the realistic pricing range for medical clinics in Islamabad and Rawalpindi in 2026. Your final quote depends on the brand chosen and the dose your case needs, and is confirmed in consultation before anything begins.

Indicative ranges for 2026. A price far below these figures usually signals a counterfeit or heavily diluted product. Your exact quote is agreed in consultation.

03 Why botox brand matters significantly

The biggest factor in botox pricing is the brand. There is a substantial difference between authentic premium botox and cheap alternatives, and it affects both your results and your safety.

Premium · USA

American Allergan

The original Botox brand from Allergan, manufactured in the United States to the highest quality-control standards. The most extensively studied, with the longest track record and the most predictable, longest-lasting results. Highest cost to source.

Effective · Korea

Korean brands

Botulax, Nabota, Innotox and Meditoxin produce excellent results when authentic. They cost less than American Allergan, making treatment more affordable while remaining safe and effective, with quality manufacturing approved for medical use in many countries.

Avoid

Counterfeit botox

Pakistan has seen counterfeit products in circulation. Full face at PKR 10,000 to 15,000 is almost certainly not authentic. Risks include unknown contents, inconsistent dosing, allergic reactions and droopy eyelids. Always ask to see the original packaging, batch number and expiry before any injection.

At my clinic I offer both Korean and American Allergan botox. The choice depends on your goals, budget and the treatment area, and I discuss it transparently during consultation. Some areas benefit from the predictability of American Allergan; others respond equally well to quality Korean brands at more accessible prices.

04 How long does botox last?

The effects of botox typically last 3 to 6 months. The timeline depends on several factors:

  • Your metabolism, as a faster metabolism tends to shorten duration
  • The dose used, since higher doses last longer
  • The treatment area, as some areas hold longer than others
  • Your activity level, because intense exercise can shorten duration
  • Whether you have had previous botox, which often lasts longer with repeat treatment

Most patients return for maintenance every 4 to 6 months. After several cycles, intervals can sometimes be extended to 6 to 8 months.

05 Who botox works best for

Most effective for

  • Dynamic wrinkles caused by muscle movement
  • Early signs of ageing in patients in their late 20s, 30s or 40s
  • Preventing deeper lines from forming
  • Specific concerns such as jaw clenching or excessive sweating
  • Subtle enhancement rather than dramatic change

Less effective for

  • Static wrinkles already visible at rest
  • Sagging skin, which needs a thread lift or other lifting treatment
  • Volume loss, which needs dermal fillers
  • Skin texture and tone, which need other treatments

06 What to expect during treatment

Before

  • Avoid blood thinners and alcohol for 48 hours
  • Skip exercise on the day of treatment
  • Arrive with clean skin
  • Discuss your goals and concerns

During

The treatment takes 10 to 20 minutes. Tiny needles inject precise amounts of botox into specific muscles. Mild discomfort is typical, and most patients describe it as quick, small pinches.

After

  • Avoid lying down for 4 hours
  • Skip the gym for 24 hours
  • Do not massage or press the treated area
  • Avoid heat exposure for 24 hours

07 What affects your total cost

  • Number of areas treated
  • Brand chosen, Korean or American Allergan
  • Dose required for your case
  • Treatment frequency over time
  • Combined treatments, as botox is often paired with fillers
  • Touch-up sessions, if needed
Safety first

Side effects and why a doctor matters

Common, temporary side effects

  • Mild bruising at injection sites
  • Slight swelling for a few hours
  • Mild headache for the first 24 hours
  • Tenderness at injection sites

Rare, more serious effects

  • Droopy eyelid or eyebrow
  • Asymmetric expression
  • Unintended muscle weakness

Why medical-clinic botox matters

Botox is a prescription medication that affects facial muscles. It should only be administered by a trained doctor who understands facial anatomy in detail. Rare complications are almost always temporary and almost always result from incorrect technique by an inexperienced operator.

The PKR 10,000 to 15,000 you might save with an unqualified provider is not worth the risk to your face. Reputable clinics welcome your questions about brand, dose and technique.

This page is general information, not a substitute for a medical consultation. Botox is a medical procedure; individual results and suitability vary and are assessed in person.

Good to know

Botox, frequently asked

Full face botox at a reputable medical clinic costs PKR 40,000 to PKR 100,000 depending on brand, dose and the exact areas treated. A price lower than this range is concerning.

Initial effects appear in 3 to 5 days. Full results are visible at 10 to 14 days.

No, botox cannot be reversed, but it does wear off naturally over 3 to 4 months. This is why starting with conservative doses and adjusting at follow up is the right approach.

Not when administered correctly. Proper botox treatment preserves natural expression while softening lines. The frozen look comes from over treatment, which a skilled physician avoids.

Yes. Botox has been used safely for decades for both medical and cosmetic purposes. Long term repeat use is safe, and many patients have been receiving treatment for 20 plus years without problems.

Yes, increasingly common. Male botox typically requires slightly different dosing and placement than female botox to maintain a masculine appearance.
